Have you ever read Hebrews 11:1, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." and then read it again because you couldn't quite wrap your mind around it? Me too! In fact, I've done that a number of times over the years. But the other day, while doing a self-study on the terms 'kingdom of God' and 'kingdom of heaven', I came across Romans 14:17, "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the holy ghost." And somehow, the Holy Spirit brought them together in my mind. Consider that the 'things hoped for' and the 'things not seen', from Hebrews 11:1, are in fact, the righteousness (the righteousness of Christ), and peace (peace with God through Christ who is our Prince of Peace), and joy in the holy ghost, from Romans 14:17. Righteousness, peace and joy in the holy ghost are not tangible, visible things. We cannot see them. But we can certainly see the evidence of them. The attached file is what I call a passage diagram. One slide that helps to connect-the-dots between the verses just mentioned and a couple of others that I found that support them.
Galatians 3:26
Romans 14:17
Hebrews 11:1 Galatians 5:5
