I was a navy brat with a father that was revered as a hero from saving the life of a fellow diver. Hearing your story was so relatable, even your cancer (yes, i had cancer as well) and finallly getting serious with the Lord. Thanks for giving Him praise by sharing your story. You are so beautiful inside and out. Maranatha!
Pete, thanks for sharing my Lifeclip, I feel honored as I respect you and your ministry so very much. It is weird though seeing my face on your homepage since I check it daily for your new posts haha!
And thanks everyone for your comments. Sorry for the fluff but most of my life did lack substance til I started living for The Lord!! Now it actually has some meaning. But it was nice to read a few of you could relate and got something out of it, that was the whole point in me doing it. My father would say, "You can't help someone up a hill without getting a little closer to the top yourself". Maranatha!!
Sweet-Sis-in-Christ, Jessica, I'm also daily hoping for Rapture. As a recovered alcoholic 17 years, I now pray for a 37 year old daughter, Priscilla, battling alcoholism. Please pray for her, as she is not a believer. She works in the medical field and "follows the science". I did raise my 4 daughters on The Word of God, but two have not come to Him as their Saviour. That's all for now. Please Pray!
I got to the 25-minute mark and bailed on the video. Too much chit-chat to sit through.
I do have a huge ask for you Pete - is there a possibility you can put together a quick outline of the video. Maybe 5 or 6 bullets with time stamps of when conversations change. For example:
1:14 – Kym’s opening remarks
2:07 – General Schwarzkopf overview
6:15 – Jessica joins the show / they discus coffee mugs and Jessica’s childhood to adult story
55:00 (plus or minus) – Some of the Jesus stuff starts.
1:??:00… and then she gets saved!
Sorry to be that guy, but watching for an hour to get to the meat-and-potatoes is a bit much. That said…
I’m starting to avoid videos with too much fluff. At the very least - I watch on replay at a faster playback speed. I also skip sections that are not helpful or too much chatter.
This is so excellent video from Life Clips Podcast and I can totally relate! I grew up in church as well and my parents would send us to Sunday school, VBS, church camp and all the amazing growing up and they would sing Gospels songs as my dad would play the guitar and he and my Mom would sing "Old Rugged Cross", "Mas Aya del Sol" and many more wonderful hymns and songs they would sing together and I could feel God's awesome presence all through my life. But found myself running from God after my divorce and sowing my wild oats for over 13years. Then God brought me back in 2007, as He always pursued me in bar with…
Oh wow! This testimony healed a ragged chunk of my heart. So thankful another woman would share in such a humble, real way her struggles with addiction. So relatable. Spent my years inventing new sin and proud of the ways I got out of it. Relapses, even during cancer. Now, the things of this world lack luster and I would never go back. So desperately needed to hear this. Thank you both. Jesus is truly amazing and I want to shout that from the rooftop!
